Carbon Conversations – Facilitator Training Scotland
This two-day training for facilitators can be held to support various community groups across Scotland who wish to begin their own Carbon Conversations groups. There is a charge of £165 per person, in line with the costs charged by Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF), originators of the course. Astrid Horward and Pam McLean offer this course. Both are very experienced facilitators and environmentalists. They are Designated Trainers for facilitators of Carbon Conversations and have facilitated several Carbon Conversations groups between them.
Carbon Conversations has now had over 1000 participants across the UK, 300 of those in Scotland, with average immediate savings of over 1 tonne per person. In terms of prior experience, it helps if you have been a group participant already, and you should have some facilitation experience. You definitely need to be passionate about facilitating change in your community, and to recognise the benefits of doing so through a values and emotions-based course.
To enquire about training, contact Pam on 07970 327975 or pamela.mclean@candeaconsulting.co.uk. Carbon Conversation groups are run by a pair of facilitators, so it is best if you have someone else in your area who has already trained or who can come to the same training.
The trainings are usually held from 9:30 to 5pm both days and include lunch and coffee/tea breaks. The location would be determined by where the participants are located.
